Nir BittonRonny Deila couldn’t have asked for more as Celtic virtually put the destiny of the title beyond Aberdeen.

The 5-0 scoreline against Dundee was an accurate reflection of the gulf between the teams but doesn’t give any indication of the quality involved.

Leigh Griffiths demonstrated his power and ability in the air to head the opener from an Emilio Izaguirre cross on the half hour mark.

The second goal was a masterpiece as the ball was patiently played from left to right, back to front, involving every Celtic player before Kris Commons sent a perfect pass from Scott Brown put Celtic 2-0 in front.

Substitute Darnell Fisher earned a penalty shortly after coming on which Kris Commons dispatched with ease, shortly afterwards Commons was setting Forrest through on goal with a low finish giving Scott Bain no chance.

In the closing minutes Nir Bitton pinged in an unstoppable 30 yard drive that seemed to surprise the goal scorer almost as much as his team-mates!

“It was a good performance,” Deila acknowledged. “We got used to the way they were set up and we were patient.

“Some of the goals today were very good. The second goal was through very good passing and movement.

“The third was a penalty but the run was from Darnell Fisher and we need more of that. We have shown consistency since Christmas.

“We’ve lost one game in the league since then and had many solid performances and hardly conceded any goals.”

Deila has been critical of Celtic’s conversion rate in recent weeks, with two more points needed to clinch the title he’ll fly to Norway in the morning very satisfied with the progress his side is making.
