Your Grand ChildrenDave King has made another desperate plea to supporters to ‘co-invest’ in Sevco.

Three days before the new season begins it’s believed that less than 25,000 season ticket’s have been sold for the Warbo revolution with the South African based thousandaire budgeting for 45,000 season ticket sales.

Last night’s glamour friendly with Burnley attracted less than 23,000 paying fans despite tickets priced at just £10.

After years of being fed moonbeams by Dave Murray, Craig Whyte, Ally McCoist and Charles Green it seems that supporters are finally starting to wisen up with the man described by a South African judge as a glib and shameless liar the first casualty.

Almost five months on from his regime change Mr King has still to invest a penny in the club despite his promise of a ‘whatever it takes’ budget at the launch of season ticket sales last month.

Jim White of Sky Sports was flown out to interview the Castlemilk exile at the house owned by his wife as the harsh realities of funding a football team with no overdraft or tax avoidance schemes was driven home.

Rangers have been the number one club over time, because Rangers supporters spent more on tickets, they spent more on kit, and more on memorabilia,” King claimed with a straight face overlooking the limitless overdraft provided by Gavin Masterton at the Bank of Scotland followed by the EBT tax sham.

“And if we can’t get the supporters back to outspending Celtic supporters, if I can put that simply, Rangers will be the second biggest club in Scotland.

“If we are going to take over Celtic as number one, we have got to get back to the supporters believing in the club and supporting the club and wanting to support the club.”

As usual with every interview since his regime change Mr King talked up meeting with Sports Direct to renegotiate the current merchandise deal despite backing a concerted campaign to blacked the name of Michael Ashley and disrupt the running of his business empire.

With no auditor or nominated adviser it is highly unlikely that Sevco will be able to come up with a share issue to bring in the cash needed to bring in supporters in sufficient numbers to avoid administration and liquidation.

It seems that the word from the blazer at the top of the marble staircase is no longer enough to get the gullible to part with their hard earned cash.

I’m sure the interview was an attempt to put some pressure on Mr Ashley before their meeting next week. It’s just a bit of bravado by the G&SL before he has to kowtow to ‘Big Mike’.

  • The midfield general says:

WEE UR RA PEEPIL That zombie dodgy Dave lying king is OBSESSED with Celtic HE HATES US BECAUSE HE FEARS US.

CELTIC HAVE THE BIGGEST DOMESTIC ATTENDANCE IN BRITISH FOOTBALL THE BIGGEST THE BIGGEST EUROPEAN ATTENDANCE IN BRITISH FOOTBALL THE BIGGEST STADIUM IN SCOTTISH FOOTBALL WE HAVE FOR THE PAST DECADE MORE THAN 10’000 MORE SEASON TICKET HOLDERS THAN WEE BAWBAG BILLY WE ARE THE ONLY TEAM IN SCOTLAND THE CREAM OF THE ENGLISH EPL WANT FOR TESTIMONIALS all facts you glib liar

  • Pasty says:

When Dave wasn’t running the club he called on the Rangers Fans to stop buying the Merchandise and shirts from Sports Direct until he could deliver a new more beneficial agreement to Rangers and he said that Mike Ashley would have to renegotiate on Rangers terms or sales would plummet. Well Shirt sales did plummet, however it has been said that the deal with SD meant that the New Rangers Club had to buy all unsold shirts – and that is clearly the reason why Dave is now asking the supporters to buy the shirts – so he doesn’t have to.

Dave now tells the Rangers fans to spend their money without seeing the new contracts or the new wonder team in place – something else that he said last year that only fools would do before seeing the documents signed and sealed.

  • owen dolan says:

We are forever being called paranoid about Sevco/TRIFC.
Dave King “Celtic fc are the number one club” if we want to overtake THE NUMBER ONE CLUB CELTIC FC” you need to give the board all your money. HAHAHA! thats me laughing at the deluded.including the lying King.

  • fess19 says:

Quote: I sat on the board under David Murray for most of that period,” said King, “so I was aware what we were doing with the money.

Murray claimed he was duped into selling Rangers to Whyte
“The only thing that was disappointing for me was, at the end of it, when the Murray Group was getting in trouble and David Murray was losing control of the situation, he should have fronted up with people like myself a lot sooner and we could have taken action at that point, early enough, before the banks came in and took control, it would have averted what happened from the Craig Whyte era onwards.

GASL, you said you knew what was happening to the money so I guess you are as much to blame as the man you are accusing ?

  • George Grieve says:

It’s fair to say sevco are in a bigger mess than ever lol

  • jimbo says:
