Stressed out Mark Warburton has delivered an astonishing attack on the Scottish media!
The former Brentford supremo has been hailed as a visionary and praised to the rafters since leaving the ranks of the unemployed to take charge of Sevco.
From the moment of his arrival the gullible and hard of thinking have been reminded of Warbo’s previous job as a city trader where he dealt with billions of pounds on a daily basis putting in shifts that started at 6am and often finished around 10pm.
Moonbeams liking Warbo with Liverpool, Swansea and Fulham have recently been served up but it seems that some mild criticism after Hibs cut an 11 point gap down to just three have upset the Ibrox boss.
“There were comments which frustrated us,” he bleated to the club website. “Lots of comments about us having no spine which I thought was hugely disrespectful statement to us at the top of the league.
“Certain media outlets saying that, and we’ll remember those comments and use those comments. They were ill judged and in my mind totally incorrect but we answered them against Hibs.
“The media in Scotland is very different. You get warned about it and you get to learn about it very quickly and interesting I think is the word.
“It’s about how you deal with that. It is what it is. You expect criticism, if we lose or draw you expect it, but when comments get personal and refer to having no spine and being exposed I think you have to respond.
“You can’t fail to read it. You take it for what it is 95% of the time, but I think sometimes when the words are inappropriate you have to respond.
“We use that with the players and they were as irate as we were and it sharpened focus even more and we delivered an appropriate response.”
Yesterday Warbo made his first swoop of the transfer window, signing Doncaster’s highly rated fulcrum Harry Forrester on a lucrative five month deal despite interest from a number of National League sides including Wrexham and Lincoln City.
Well well well,after all the Arse licking and being praised to the hilt by the Scottish main stream media,the bread man is still unhappy.
He should try being Ronnie Delia’s shoes,being hammered at every turn from the media,even though he is still top of the league with 2 games in hand and still in all the domestic cup competitions apart from the Petrofact training cup as we are too big a team for that Wee competition.
