red cardMark McGhee launched an astonishing attack on referee Greg Aitken following Motherwell’s 3-3 draw at home to Hamilton.

Ali Crawford scored with a stoppage time penalty that saw home skipper Keith Lasley sent off for handball.

McGhee, assistant manager to Gordon Strachan at the SFA, felt that Crawford should have been sent off for an earlier incident and didn’t hold back when he was asked about the decision.

I thought it was ludicrous that Crawford was still on the park,” the Motherwell boss said. “It was ridiculous, an absolutely ridiculous decision. Our boy was sent off for handball and that just compounds it. It was a shocking decision.”

The draw left Motherwell in eight place in the Premiership with Dundee and Partick Thistle swapping places.

With Inverness Caley Thistle winning the Highland derby John Hughes’ team remained in the top six, just two points behind their neighbours.

An early morning inspection saw the St Johnstone v Aberdeen fixture postponed with the SPFL taking a break as the Scottish Cup fourth round takes place next weekend.

The tie of the round will be at Tynecastle where Hearts host Aberdeen with the winner of that match likely to be among the favourites for the tournament.

St Johnstone face Kilmarnock in the only other all Premiership tie with at one non-league side assured of a fifth round place with East Kilbride hosting Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale.

Celtic travel to Stranraer on Sunday for a 3.15pm kick off with the next league match scheduled for Friday January 15 away to bottom of the table Dundee United.

Welcome back to Fitba management Mark, now you know just how pish they are, I always laugh to myself when i listen to the football commentators on the T.V. you know who they are spouting there garbage about teams and tactics, how can you posibley factor in for clowns like that.

Even pundits that have played at the highest level are still taken aback no wonder they retreat from management back to the comfort of the sofa.

They are a testament to the good old S.F.A. you know, hear no evil speak no evil see no evil with the emphasis on the see no evil.

The three monkeys, certainly not the three wise men.

im trying to work out what the point of this blog is. its called videocelts, so i foolishly assumed it would have something to do with celtic fc. however, after a totally disgraceful afternoon at parkhead, where the players were outclassed by partick thistle, and the manager showed his lack of ideas, and the empty stands, you are discussing an ex celt complaining about the ref in a different match, and an ex celt being correctl;y sent off in an other. oh and dont forget the obligatory sevco cash crisis story.
is this blog just an attempt to cover up the crisis forming at celtic park? yes, top of the league, in the league cup semi and still in a tournament that hasnt started for us, but failed to win over a fifth of our league games, embarassed in the champions league and the europa league, dreadful performances becoming the norm, half empty stadium overy other week and the appearance of a club in a massive recession. but dont worry, sevco are skint and we’ll more than likely stumble over the finishing line to five in a row so everythings tickety boo at parkhead. thing is, when sevco come up next year, they will miraculously find funds for players or good free transfers, and our manager and chief exec cant be trusted with money for transfers. we’ve spent around £9m this season and were totally dominated at home by partick thistle. ok, ive had my say, now time for the green goggled brigade to shout me down and scream keep the faith. you all sound like ra***rs fans who just cant accept that anything is wrong with your club. you probably all still think mowbray did a good job….

Spot on. Can’t believe some of the nonsense spouted by the followers of the management team. We should have built a dynasty while sevco have been in dissaray. They come up next season with us going backwards. Disgraceful state of affairs.

  • Andy says:

I thought Celtic were denied 2 pens yesterday, fair play to Ronnie for not making a big deal about it. We should be playing with 3 forwards at Celtic Park, 2 wingers and a striker through the middle 3-4-3 HH

We are playing the worst football we have in more than 50 years. There is no plan, no plan b, and no passion. It’s clear the players have no respect for Deila. They never will have because he has no ability to earn it. He has no respect for the players. He leaves out Cole and Stokes, plays with a solitary forward, has zero tacyocal nuos, is an absolute disaster of a coach, and frankly has no place with us.

He has taken us so far back in style and passion. The fans are staying home. What does this say? We should be out of sight. We should be so far in front of others that the next team should be third! The stubbornness Lawwell shows in keeping Deila drags us further down week after week. We are no better than any other club in Scotland when we should be miles out in front.

We have no chance on earth of winning ten titles in a row even if we should already be there and only corruption has stopped it.

The days of watching a team capable of beating Barcelona, Manchester United, Inter Milan etc., are long gone. We can’t even hold Malmo!

I’m afraid the days of our old idols have long gone as we watch our team lose several millions in European cash each year because we chose to hire the cheapest possible guy who called himself a manager that we could find! We got the cheapest. He was cheapest for a reason. He stinks.

  • CANADA BHOY says:

I recently gave up Celtic T.V due to the CRAP that we have been playing. It is pretty obvious that DEILA is not the man to coach CELTIC. I firmly believe he was brought on board because he was the cheapest, we may have saved some money on him, but just think how much we lost by not competing in Europe.

  • owen dolan says:

The day after Ronny Deila was announced as manager I said he was not the man to manage Celtic.Bhoy was I proved right.
The supporters who want to keep Deila, are probably the ones who want RIFC back in the Premier league, along with their bigoted sectarian baggage.
To me these people don’t have much of a brain to work with. The SFA/SPFL sevco/RIFC,and most of the owners and CEO’s at our football club’s are doing their best “despite their supporters wanting the opposite” to get sevco/RIFC into the Premier league. They are setting a dangerous precedent.
