The full extent of what Brendan Rodgers expects from his goalkeepers can be gleaned from a new video produced by Celtic TV.

Passing the ball out of defence is essential for the Celtic boss with goalkeeping coach Stevie Woods drilling that message into the players in training.

A Head Tennis warm up starts the session with Craig Gordon joined by Dorus de Vries, Colin McCabe and Woods as they head and volley the ball across a small court.

A Passing Drill is next up as the keepers replicate pressure situations in matches playing short passes around a small area with the emphasis on speed.

Deflection/Reaction/Speedwork is net up for the keepers as they get involved in more traditional work stopping shots from close range.

An interesting diversion to the exercise is what looks like a series of steel rings placed 10 yards from goal. With Woods hitting his shots off the rings the keepers are confronted with the type of deflections which crop up in every match.

Goal Coverage and Speedwork are next up as the keepers are put through their paces with the video clip illustrating what is required from a keeper in Rodgers team.
