“That’s what you are saying,” he replied in The Sun. “You say we cannot spend £6m? OK. Let’s wait and see.
“Listen, it is not a question of money, it is a question to bring about a greater level of the squad. That is what we are looking for.
“We know that we have the core of the team to be here next season. The board knows, the board agrees and we are working on it.”
With over 20 players contracted beyond this season on bumper deals Caixinha believes that he’ll not have to pay them off and can bring in better new faces without any cost!
He added: “Nobody said that you need to pay the players to go. Nobody said also that you need to pay players to come in.
“We are going to have one investment, for sure. We need to spend money, for sure, but I cannot tell you how much we are going to spend with the players that are moving or with the players that are coming in.”
