Sevco blew the chance to go to the top of the Premiership tonight after drawing 2-2 with Partick Thistle at Firhill tonight.

A four goal victory would have taken Pedro Caixinha’s All Stars ahead of Celtic and Aberdeen but once again three wins in a row proved too much for the men from Ibrox.

All looked to be going to plan when Alfredo Morelos put the home side in front after 19 minutes but two goals early in the second half swung the game Thistle’s way.

Blair Spittal sent a free kick in off the backside of Bruno Alves with Chris Erskine putting the homeside in front from close range.

Once Erskine got red carded Sevco poured forward and equalised through Graham Dorrans but despite having 15 minutes to find a winner there was no further scoring.

Wins tomorrow for Celtic against Ross County and Aberdeen at home to Kilmarbock will leave Sevco trailing the joint league leaders by five points going into next Saturday’s visit from the champions to Ibrox.
