Scott Brown has spoken out about the memorable incident at Aberdeen where his new Broony dance was lapped up by Celtic supporters.

The hoops skipper crashed into a challenge with Kenny McLean in typical fashion then was scythed down by Sam Cosgrove as he emerged with the ball.

Next up Shay Logan blasted the ball at Brown from close range before the midfielder bounced up to celebrate in front of the Celtic support.

The incident went viral through social media with Chris Sutton recreating it alongside some of the pundits on BT Sport.

Brown seems to find an extra gear in his game for visits to Pittodrie and was happy to relive that incident in an interview with Celtic TV.

What went through my head? Probably not a lot, I took quite a bad touch and I managed to get myself out the situation.

Then I got a lucky touch and the big man on his first appearance managed to smash me. I just wanted to find out who kicked the ball against my head.

Wee Logan did a runner right after it as he usually does.

The fans were on top of me too, so it was great to go there and do a wee dance move.

What do I think now? It was definitely a red!

With the game I play, I make tackles and you can’t lie about if you give it out.

You expect people to give it back but it’s about bouncing back up and going again. But that was late in the game and we knew we had won it.”

Brown can expect similar hostility at Ibrox on Sunday but having captained Celtic to three consecutive wins at the home of Sevco it’s nothing that he’s not used to.
