Celtic will find out on Monday who they will face in the play-off round of the Champions League IF they get past AEK Athens in the third round.

With such a tight schedule UEFA have to make the draws in advance with Young Boys of Berne and PSV Eindhoven the only teams assured of a place in the play-off’s.

One team that Celtic won’t face is Astana. After facing up to each other in 2016 and 2017 the Kazak side will join Celtic in the seeded half of the draw after they put out Erik Sviatchenko’s Midtjylland on a 2-1 aggregate.

Trying to guess which possible tie would be the easier or hardest is impossible to do at this stage of the season with AEK Athens arguably tougher opponents than any of the sides waiting in the play-off round.

In-between the two ties against the Greek champions Celtic visit Tynecastle to take on Hearts with a home match against Hamilton between the ties in the play-off stage- IF Celtic get past AEK Athens.
