Brendan Rodgers has had a sit-down talk with Dedryck Boyata.
The Celtic boss has been the biggest backer of the defender over the last two years, taking him from the wilderness at Celtic into the Belgium World Cup squad.
Respect between the two men broke down over the last week with Boyata and his agent reacting angrily to the decision to knock back a transfer to Fulham.
Dedryck Boyata future at @CelticFC unclear. Assistant Chris Davies says: “he has had a long chat with the manager. There is no point vilifying anybody or blaming one individual. The situation as it stands is open and we will see what happens.”

Things reached a height last Friday when the defender phoned in sick at the same time as his agent Jacques Lichtenstein appeared at Lennoxtown demanding a meeting with Rodgers.
Within a couple of days it became clear that Boyata would never be able to play again for Celtic.
While the player was seeing Rodgers a separate meeting went on between Celtic directors and Lichtenstein with all parties having a fortnight to find a suitable transfer.
Boyata could sit tight but with no first team football between now and January there won’t be much demand for his services at the turn of the year.
