Brendan Rodgers was hesitant over giving a date for Leigh Griffiths’ return from injury.
The striker last played in Celtic’s 6-0 win over St Johnstone on October 4.
After pulling out of the Scotland squad for the October internationals there was a lot of criticism and speculation over Griffiths.
The striker was never a contender for the matches against Albania and Israel with Rodgers unsure if Griffiths will be available for Celtic’s next match which is away to Hamilton in 13 days time.
Speaking to Radio Scotland after the 0-0 draw at Livingston Rodgers said: “The guys that have been out for a little while, Browny and Olivier Ntcham, these guys will hopefully be back for that period (after International break) and that will help increase competition in there.”
Asked about Leigh Griffiths he added: “Hopefully, again in this period, he’ll be somewhere near back to fitness and Leigh along with a few others should be back hopefully.”.
Kris Ajer and Craig Gordon have been added to the injured list with the young defender facing a lengthy lay off due to a broken eye socket.
Jozo Simunovic, Cristian Gamboa and Nir Bitton are also on the injured list with Celtic facing a run of 14 matches in 30 days before the winter break.
