Karamoko Dembele attracted the headlines, Mikey Johnston scored the goals but the performance of Ewan Henderson was every bit as impressive as his teenage team-mates.
It’s just over a year since he got a 15 minute run out as a substitute against Kilmarnock with the season ending providing a handful of performances showcasing his potential.
In the final match under Brendan Rodgers Henderson delivered a mature performance, in Neil Lennon’s first game in charge he instigated the opening goal of the game for James Forrest on a classic counter-attack.

That move illustrated a player perfectly at ease on the big stage, with close skills to match his range of passes to play alongside his illustrious team-mates. It wasn’t the only such moment, in the opening minutes he combined perfectly with Mikey Johnston for Celtic’s first goal.
There is every chance that the teenager can develop to the same standard as Ryan Christie and Callum McGregor, whoever is in charge of Celtic next season has one highly promising talent to work with.
