Celtic extended their winning run in the SPFL to 11 on the bounce as they saw off St Mirren in Paisley.

The 2-1 scoreline was a travesty in light of the balance of play between the sides as match officials Willie Collum and Douglas Ross disrupted the visitors’ style at every opportunity.

An equal travesty is the highlights package put together by the SPFL. Odsonne Edouard’s ‘goal’, disallowed by the flag of Ross is missing while the editor has decided to give slow-motion treatment to the halfway line clash between Chris Jullien and Jonathan Obika while ignoring the incident between the two players a few minutes earlier.

Neil Lennon selected the same side that beat Aberdeen by the same scoreline on Saturday with Edouard the creator this time for first half goals from Callum McGregor and James Forrest.

Celtic created more chances in the second half but had no luck in front of goal while a push on James Forrest early on was ignored by Collum who did likewise with Calum Waters who collided with Ryan Christie just as he was shooting.

Kevin Clancy will referee Sunday’s Glasgow derby which will be televised live by Sky Sports.
