Ross County are hoping to pick up a £150,000 bonus from the visit of Celtic on Saturday.

Sky Sports have decided to skip showing the match live which allows County to cash in through their own in-house TV coverage.

Fans can buy the match for £15 which is bound to be attractive to Celtic fans after 13 days without seeing their team in action.

Shane Duffy’s debut will ensure more watching fans across Ireland with the fixture giving clubs the chance to explore how they could go it alone for a future broadcasting deal.

McGregor told the Press and Journal:

The feedback has been really good, and the numbers have been really good. I would expect we will have a five-figure audience for the Celtic game, which is based on Celtic viewing figures.

There will be an excess of 10,000 people watching it on pay per view at a cost of £15. The home team keeps the gate, less the cost of the production which they provide.

We have tried to put a joint show on, where there will be a balanced view for the Celtic fans that can’t make it to the game.

It’s very rare for Celtic away matches not to be selected for live transmission by the main broadcaster but Sky have opted not to show any SPFL matches next weekend.

The following weekend Sky return with live coverage of Steven Gerrard’s side’s trip to face Hibs at Easter Road.

Celtic could be top of the table by the time that match kicks off- if Neil Lennon’s side beat Ross County, St Mirren and Livingston with none of those matches being broadcast by Sky.
