Shane Duffy is on board and preparing for Ireland’s Nations League match against Finland tomorrow.

The defender has worn the armband this season and will lead from the front as Stephen Kenny’s side look for their first win of the season after losing at home to the Finn’s last month.

Celtic fans have watched their side lose three players during the international break with concerns that there could be more casualties before Neil Lennon gathers his squad to prepare for Saturday’s Glasgow Derby.

Ireland’s plans have also been hammered by disruptions with five withdrawals on Sunday leaving Kenny unable to fill the bench for the 0-0 draw with Wales. A nasty eye injury to Kevin Long in the opening exchanges and red card for James McClean hardly helped matters.

Tomorrow’s match kicks off at 5pm which will allow the FAI to fly back on Wednesday night allowing Duffy to get back to Glasgow on Thursday to prepare for the biggest match of his Celtic career.
