Within an hour of a statement from Ibrox it has been reported that 10 people were given fixed penalty notices for attending a house party in Glasgow’s West End.

Social Media has been rife with rumours over who may have been involved with the club issuing a holding statement as speculation mounted.

At the start of November Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were caught with a Scottish Government spokesperson commending the club for prompt action before the bad boys were hit with seven match SFA suspensions.

Sky Sports report:

The Scottish Premiership leaders issued this statement on Twitter: “Rangers are aware of an alleged incident which is subject to an internal investigation. We will make no further comment.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson has told Sky Sports News: “We received reports of a gathering at a property in Hayburn Lane, Glasgow at 1.10am on Sunday 14th February. Officers attended and those in attendance left. 10 people were issued with fixed penalty notices for breaching regulations.”

Last month First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned Scottish football about the consequences of any wilful breaches of protocol.

Below the Premiership and Championship all football has been suspended, if Ibrox players have again decided to defy their club, the SFA and Scottish Government the top two divisions could be suspended.
