The trail of destruction from Ibrox fans has continued with a daylight attack on the Billy McNeill statue at Celtic Park.

Two years ago Ibrox custodians Stewart Robertson and Andrew Dickson shed crocodile tears when they visited the statue of the legendary Celt following his death.

Today, following on from the shameful scenes in George Square one fan opted to tie a Union Jack around the McNeill statue with a friend sharing the picture on Social Media.

This morning Police Scotland announced that 28 fans had been arrested for a variety of offences around the city centre.

At the media briefing from the Scottish Government at lunchtime today John Swinney stated that the silence from inside Ibrox as fans broke lockdown laws was deafening.

With the Police unable to contain the crowds yesterday there must be major doubts over whether the Glasgow Derby will go ahead on March 21.
