Ewan Otoo helped Clyde to a 2-1 win over East Fife last night as the Cumbernauld side completed their great escape- avoiding the League One Play Off by a point.
Remarkably the 18-year-old Celt was making his 15th appearance since his Clyde debut on March 23 away to Keith in the Scottish Cup. A period of 43 days, just over six weeks.
Otoo has played in central midfield for Celtic’s Academy sides but was played at left-back by Clyde as Danny Lennon’s side took on an incredible run of fixtures after playing just eight matches before the season was suspended in January.

It looked like Clyde were heading for the Play-Off position when they lost at Peterhead and Forfar. Dumbarton were five points ahead in the safety of eighth place when they visited Cumbernauld on Saturday but a Clyde win followed by last night’s victory dragged Clyde one point above Jim Duffy’s side who now face Stranraer in the Play Off semi-final.
