The last 10 days have been a flashback to the days before Lockdown when demanding bears were realising how limited their manager was despite being given a king’s ransom to bring a trophy to Ibrox.

Starting in Malmo, via Tannadice to Ibrox on Tuesday night the Invincible Galactico’s have been shown up putting an unwelcome spotlight on Gerrard’s management and tactics guru Michael Beale.
Now Gerrard faces the music, beating Dunfermline 5-0 won’t plug the £30m gap that seeing off Malmo and Ludogorets would have achieved.
Gerrard knows that, Sutton’s media colleagues know it as does Ross Wilson who has less than three weeks to raise at least £20m and put a big dent on the monthly payroll.
