If rewriting history was a competition, then they’d be champions of Europe, maybe even the world record holders.

Taking their lead from the Tribute Act Ibrox fans have been responding to another day of ridicule over the attempts by their club to ignore and rewrite the events of 2012.

With no fan group or wealthy blue-nose prepared to come up with a CVA offer to satisfy Her Majesty the club was put into liquidation, the process has still to be completed with 267 creditors still waiting for a pay-out.

Apparently, it never happened! Today the Ibrox club was selling tickets for a 150th Anniversary Legends event, claiming that they are the first major club in Europe to do so.

As ever those claims are easily taken apart, the club is in its 10th season, Nottingham Forest celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2015 and won the European Cup in 1979 and 1980.

According to some of the deluded reaching the eight club semi-finals of season 1992/93 is a greater achievement than anything that Forest or Celtic have managed.

Two groups of four isn’t a semi-final to anyone of sound thought, Marseilles topped one group then beat AC Milan in the final. They didn’t cheat or bribe, their victory remains in the record books which has no mention of semi-finals that season.

The old club did of course reach the real semi-finals in 1960, losing out 12-4 on aggregate to Eintracht Frankfurt who were then hammered 7-3 in the final by Real Madrid.

In 1971 Celtic won the Scottish Cup.

CELTIC fans pointing out the obvious and laughing at”the rangers” is not enough ….it needs to be done by their (friends) at SKY SPORTS, the BBC,SFA/SPFL, and the SMSM. Unfortunately they all turn a blind eye or just lie for them

You couldn’t make it up…..errr, well apparently you could..my bad.

  • CAIRNCROSS says:

The old Rangers had 53 and a half titles, many through cheating. The new entity have only one major trophy, won in a ravaged environment of Covid, which aided their cheating.

The Klan claim that the old Rangers were the most successful club, but without winning the universally accepted top club honour they cannot claim stupid things like that, particularly in a backwater in football terms like ours.

Unfortunately you just cannot educate pork and never will. Look at the carnage in the city centre when they won their first title and imagine what it would be like if they ever win a treble……like our four in a row. Nothing more to say really.

  • Peter Cassidy says:

As they say the great pretenders. Maybe the creditors from the old rangers fc should band together and ask the rangers 2012 can they have the money owed by rangers fc pre 2012 as they say we are the same club but we all know its all bull$hit rangers fc no longer alive dead as dodo.
