Ange Postecoglou is hoping to have players coming back from injury in the next two or three weeks.

Celtic have moved into top spot in the SPFL while juggling a regular list of players out injured while integrating new signings into the squad.

Six weeks ago Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley were playing their football elsewhere but are now essential components of the side and squad that Postecoglou is developing.

Kyogo Furuhashi, David Turnbull, Albian Ajeti and Yosuke Guchi were all missing from yesterday’s win over Motherwell.

The return of that quartet will create incredible competition for places with the return of Kyogo the most eagerly awaited development for the fans who watched the strike deliver the League Cup in December.

It’s only been the last couple of days that I’ve had that squad, I hope people aren’t thinking I have got this easy all of a sudden but this is why I wanted to build this squad.

Look, its why we wanted to build the squad, we just haven’t had them at our disposal so far. It’s pleasing that we are getting some back and hopefully we’ll have another couple back over the next two or three weeks and we’re going to need it.

What we want to do is maintain the levels of performance that we’ve had so far and improve it. We can’t do that with just one set of players, we need to be able to call on the full squad and make sure that our performances are at the level we want them

Kyogo’s last appearance was on December 26 when he lasted 15 minutes away to St Johnstone, Turnbull also injured a hamstring the previous week against Hibs at Hampden.

Mikey Johnston was listed as a substitute yesterday for the first time this year but for the second match running Chris Jullien wasn’t in the squad.

The Celtic manager will never, ever be required to justify spending money in Scotland as every penny that our club acquires is legal and above reproach.

Good to see Ange in good spirits. Has that knack of knowing what he wants, qualities in a player that others don’t and does not bare fools easily. Yes, I admit, I did not see that coming back in August, but he is a winner and the board seem to be backing him. Hope we can extend his terms, he is a genius. And wants more? The Prem must be the priority, but can we bring a European Pot home too? Exciting times and I love it! HH!

Worried about julien he had a terrible injury on knee there is no friendlies and can’t play youth team or can he like reserve team so man needs to test his knee in games might be a mental thing.

Who would have thought celtic would get buy without turnbull, and kyoko who aren’t automatic choice unbelievable for players that have came in creek striker is the unsung hero and when he scores he will be prolific his work rate and movement gives other players freedom to play the football is brilliant to watch and scottish media are trying to down grade it by blaming oppositions thought they were good against league leaders but pundits say they tired against motherwell should have 8 or 9 but for poor finishing and goalkeepers body and referee won’t play advantage and not given a stonewall penalty no excuse sfa has to look at Beaton performance sky will give them tape no excuse show us you are looking to sort this refereeing biased out of scottish football its to consistent to be anything else
