Charlie Mulgrew wasn’t prepared to play ball as BBC Scotland went into meltdown over Dundee United taking two points from the Champions of Europe.
After beating Borussia Dortmund on Thursday Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side were expected to take full points from Tannadice with the minimum of effort.
Ross Graham’s 29th minute header was cancelled out by an equaliser from Joe Aribo in the 76th minute but despite seven minutes of stoppage time from Bobby Madden there was no dramatic winner to send the visitors top of the table.
In the BBC Scotland studio at Tannadice Kenny MacIntyre was inconsolable as he called for full time officials and the introduction of VAR in relation to two penalty claims for the Ibrox men.
Brian McLaughlin was on television duty for the state broadcaster and took a similar line when interviewing Charlie Mulgrew after the match.

Interviewed by BBC’s Sportscene, reporter Brian McLaughlin asked for Mulgrew’s views on the penalty shouts.
He replied: “What ones?”
McLaughlin replied: “The handball in the first half and another one late on.”
Mulgrew retorted: “Ha, never a pen! It’s played him. It’s come to him quickly and his hands are by his side. What other one was there?”
McLaughlin: “In the second half there was a pull on Sakala, just after Ben Siegrist has made the save.”
A laughing Mulgrew replied: “You’ve made that up!”
McLaughlin: “I’m sure you’ll watch it on Sportscene.”
To which Mulgrew replied: “No chance!”
BBC Scotland are offering grief counselling to staff members after today’s results. Explaining that refereeing mistakes even themselves out over the course of a season has been removed from all scripts.
