Ange Postecoglou had a brisk exchange with Jane Lewis of BBC Scotland following Celtic’s 4-0 win over Ross County.

It was an impressive win for the hoops against the other form team in the SPFL, overcoming erratic refereeing by Don Robertson which led to a first half injury for Tom Rogic.

For the first time this season Jota played on the right, Daizen Maeda on the left with Giorgos Giakoumakis applying heavy pressure and a potent goal threat through the centre. For good measure he scored with two headers in the first 18 minutes.

There were plenty of talking points to discuss, especially given exclusive access to the Celtic boss but it seems that the imagination of the BBC reporter couldn’t escape beyond thoughts of Ibrox.

Covering his post-match interview with Radio Scotland, the Daily Record reports:

Lewis : “It keeps this wonderful domestic run going, 31 games unbeaten. Now you’re six points clear at the top of the league, it puts Rangers under pressure tomorrow.”

Postecoglou : “All those statements are true, yeah.”

Lewis : “But you don’t want to get involved in it?”

Postecoglou : “I don’t see any reason to.”

Lewis : “But you can understand why I’m asking the question?”

Postecoglou : “It’s not in our control. What was in our control today was to put in a good performance. Ross County are in really good form, so you’ve just got to concentrate on yourself.”

Kenny Macintyre was given a recent run of being the BBC reporter given post-match access to Postecoglou but he seems to have been rested since asking the Celtic boss whether the win over St Mirren had been a hard watch.

We are a Stand alone club who don’t give a Daffy Duck about how others do their business. Maybe we should gets translate for all the thickos. At BBC.Scotland.

Editor: Sadly the stand-alone club can’t think for themselves with holding hands with their business friends at Ibrox.
