The SPFL are waiting on approval from Police Scotland to bring forward by a day Motherwell’s home match against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side.

When the post-split fixtures were announced that match was scheduled for 12 noon on Sunday followed at 2.30pm by Celtic’s trip to Ross County.

Sky Sports and Motherwell are both prepared to bring the match forward by a day with a decision expected by Police Scotland today.

In the Daily Record, Keith Jackson reports:

Record Sport understands Motherwell have agreed to rearrange Sunday’s top flight showdown with the Ibrox men and broadcasters Sky are also happy for the match to go ahead 24 hours earlier than originally scheduled.

Van Bronckhorst has asked for the game to be rescheduled to give his side an extra day to prepare for a first leg semi final showdown with RB Leipzig in Germany on Thursday night.

The clash with Graham Alexander’s men now looks set to be moved to a Saturday lunchtime slot but no announcement can be made until it has been signed off by the cops.

It seems that whatever the Ibrox club want, they get from the SPFL.

While 41 clubs give trackside advertising and place the cinch logo on their shirt the Ibrox club have ignored the SPFL sponsors, cashing in with their own sponsorship deals while everyone else promotes cinch.

In January the Ibrox club leaked details of complaints made to the SFA about Kevin Clancy, since then Clancy hasn’t been given a single match involving the club, Bobby Madden has had three of their matches in that period.

The extra day will provide van Bronckhorst with more time to prepare for an eight day run of matches against RB Leipzig home and away, either side of a trip across the city to take on Celtic.

Until someone speaks up….It goes on and on and on.
Plus all the last split fixtures should be played at the same time so no advantage is gained. Sounds fair but that ain’t a word in this fckn league.

And just how is the cinch deal going? Do they still get money this season? If so why? I thought Mike Ashley had won his court case! When will the judge tell them how much they owe him? And on and on it goes. I won’t spend another coin in this league until our club stand up against this corrupt league
