Celtic isn’t a football club- Stan Collymore’s incredible tweet

With his playing days getting further into the past Stan Collymore is taking a deeper look into football and in particular fan culture. 

Aston Villa will always be the club closest to his heart but his fondness for all things Celtic seems to be getting stronger and stronger. 

During his playing days with Villa, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest Collymore was one of the most in-demand strikers as football discovered the Sky Sports backed EPL days. 

For the modern generation of football fans everything EPL related is bigger and better than anything anywhere else but with his new perspective the former England striker sees things a little differently.

With almost 897,700 Twitter followers Collymore’s thoughts will travel far and wide, Celtic’s own Twitter account has 814,000 followers.

At one stage Celtic might have seemed like just another club, albeit with a larger than average stadium and a vocal fanbase. 

Knowing Celtic’s backstory and the values held closely by most fans it seems that the middle-aged Stan would have been quite comfortable being born into a Celtic family in the west of Scotland.
