Chris Sutton can understand why Celtic fans are getting concerned over the pending status over the Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers transfers.

Both players arrived on loan at the end of the summer transfer window but their deals apparently came with options to buy.

On every category the players delivered, there wasn’t any hint of unhappiness or complaints about the Glasgow weather as their careers kicked on in tandem with delivering success for Celtic

Next season Celtic can offer Champions League football rather than the Thursday night version but so far the deals for Carter-Vickers and Jota remain in limbo.

Reviewing the situation in the Daily Record, Sutton writes:

The Cameron Carter-Vickers deal has to get nudged over the line. The noises all sound positive but the longer these things drag on the more people start to get twitchy.

They start wondering, why hasn’t it been announced? Jota is in the same boat and the hope is both are already tied down.

Three weeks on from Celtic’s final match supporters are still waiting for announcements on both deals. May 31 could have been a significant date but passed by without any announcements.

There seems to be no obvious hold up in announcing permanent moves but with each passing day more people are starting to get twitchy.

No’ me. For the first time in 3 years I’m happy with and still trusting the process.

Here’s hoping Lawwell isn’t lurking behind the scenes, or they’ll be haggling over ten bob before the deals go pear shaped.
