Celtic’s interest in Sead Haksabanovic as been given the ‘jets in’ treatment by the Daily Record.
The winger has been strongly linked with a move to Celtic over the last five days with Ange Postecoglou confirming that the deal was close to going through after the 2-0 defeat of Hearts on Sunday.
Celtic have already completed seven deals during the transfer window but despite strong options on each wing it seems that Haksabanovic will join the hoops before Sunday’s match away to Dundee United.
Despite being born and brought up in Sweden the 23-year-old plays his international football for Montenegro, after a year in the Russian League with Rubin Kazan he is about to join Celtic ahead of the draw for the group stage of the Champions League.

Rubin Kazan forward Sead Haksabanovic has arrived in Scotland to finalise his move to Celtic.
Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou admitted at the weekend that a deal for the Rubin Kazan star was “getting close” Postecoglou expects to make the attacking midfielder his latest addition imminently. Haksabanovic is in Glasgow and has already been at Celtic’s Lennoxtown training ground. A deal has been struck with the Russians club and a deal for the Montenegro international is now at the final stages.
The 23-year-old has been a long-term target for Celtic, who lost out on him when he made his big-money move to Rubin Kazan last year. The ongoing attack from Russia on Ukraine has opened the door for Celtic to land Haksabanovic at the second time of asking. The former Swedish under-19 cap had spent time earlier this year on loan at Djurgardens. Postecoglou is still not finished and he is still looking at midfield and striking options.

Since the transfer window opened Celtic have signed Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Daizen Maeda who were on loan last season, snapped up free agents Aaron Mooy and Ben Siegrist, taken Moritz Jenz on loan and paid around £3.5m for Alexandro Bernabei.
Ange has done really well with the players he has brought in especially after p.lawwell sold our best players when we were going for 10inarow and he never did replace any of them thats why we lost our 10th title through greedy p.lawwell and our board so hopefully now ange will get his team going again and does really good in the CL and as we all know nearly 40million he brought to paradise and i pray Ange gets celtic to be a great team again especially in Europe eh so all the best to our manager and coaching staff aswell..hail hail to the celtic family…
We may have sold our best players, in your opinion, when going for Ten in a Row. But the reason we lost the Ten was because Lawwell gave the job to Lennon! Lennon was not fit for the position. We knew that when he left the position previously. So, the mistake was in re-appointing him permanently! That was Lawwell’s fault. He gave him the job! Compare what Ange has done with what Lennon did! The circumstances were very similar. Ange has turned the fortunes of the Club around. Without him, who knows where we’d be?
