Gheorghe Hagi has launched an incredible attack on the Romanian international boss for doing a Micky Beale and ignoring his superstar son.

With the European Championship qualifiers getting underway tonight Ianis is stuck at Murray Park playing five-a-sides with James Tavernier, Ryan Kent, John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos.

After a lifetime of being told how wonderful you are by your Daddy it must be tough realising that you#re not among the best 24 players in Romania.

Despite being out of action for a year through injury the usual transfer tales have surfaced tipping Galatasaray, Real Madrid and Manchester City to make a bid for the midfielder.

With that interest failing to surface Hagi extended his Ibrox contract, since returning from injury he has came off the bench four times with his only starting appearance, against Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup, ending after 45 minutes.

Blasting off at the Romanian international manager, The Express reports Ianis’ Daddy saying:

Edi Iordanescu showed me personally that Ianis Hagi is not important to him. Ianis proved that he is the best player at Rangers before his injury.

Rangers played in the Europa League final thanks to Ianis scoring in Denmark (scoring against Brondby in the group stage). If not, Rangers do not pass the group. He is leaving out some fundamental things that make the difference.

Ianis is healthy at the moment. Everyone knows he was injured. At his peak he was the best player at Rangers, he went to the Europa League At his peak he was the best player at Rangers, he went to the Europa League final. Ianis plays for a team with immense pressure in Europe.

He showed he can handle the pressure, he was unlucky to miss 12 months. It makes sense that when you’re out for 12 months you should have the same amount of time to come back, but at the moment he’s on the pitch. He’s there, he’s on the bench at Rangers, he’s not out. It takes time to recover.

If it takes Ianis 12 months to get back to form he might find that the loyal bears aren’t quite as understanding as he imagined.

When you are on the bench watching John Lundstram, Ryan Jack and Glen Kamara it is unlikely that you will be called up for European Championship qualifiers.
