‘Bonkers statement’ ‘That’s embarrassing’ ‘hanging about with Boyd too much’ Sky presenter is trending after bragging rights claim

With one off the cuff comment Eilidh Barbour was trending over Twitter.

The hysteria of watching the champions lose 3-0 seemed to get the better of the normally reliable Sky Sports presenter.

Signing off yesterday’s Glasgow Derby coverage Barbour announced that the the bragging rights will be spending the summer at Ibrox. Across the city Celtic will have to make do with the SPFL Premiership trophy, the Viaplay Cup, the SFA Youth Cup, the Glasgow Cup and possibly the Glasgow Cup.

Unlike almost all of the radio and TV presenters at BBC Scotland Barbour isn’t an Ibrox fan. She genuinely supports St Johnstone with a strong interest in golf.

Keeping Kris Boyd from looking even more foolish than normal is no easy task but she generally manages it leaving the former Kilmarnock striker to laugh at his own jokes.

Yesterday’s bragging rights claim brought some amusement for Celtic fans, if next season the Bragging Rights are all they have to console themselves in the Blue Room most hoops fans can live with that.

According to @ScotlandSky the bragging rights will …”Spend the summer at Ibrox”…

Are Celtic not going for the ‘World Record’ 8th domestic treble in 3 weeks time then?
