After two days of Twitter silence Jane Lewis has recovered from covering Celtic;s victory in the Women’s Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.

The Motherwell fan is the face of the Women’s game on BBC Scotland, hosting the Sunday highlights show and whatever live action is left over after Sky Sports have taken their pick.

When Glasgow City won the SWPL title in the final minutes of the season Lewis was very engaging on Twitter, reliving the drama and excitement as Celtic lost out at the death.

After one tweet from sunny Hampden on Sunday there was nothing further to report, this afternoon’s news that Sam Kerr was moving from Ibrox to Bayern Munich brought her back onto social media, expressing her sorrow at the clear promotion in the players career.

Full of excitement for live coverage of the Scottish Cup Final she tweeted:

Strangely there was no updates from Hampden, no final score, no congratulations to the winners until today’s upsetting news.

Strange the media will be “sad to see her go” or “sad to see talent leaving the Scottish game”.
Yet the very same reporters are offering to drive the Celtic manager to Leeds, London, or anywhere there is a vacancy.
    Hypocrits one and all.

Yeah , Motherwell FC must be really basking in the limelight knowing that the BBC ‘s Jane Lewis continually says she is a club supporter extraordinaire ! Hey you two ,stop laughing at the back there …..
