The Revolution fell flat tonight for Micky Beale as Olympiakos strolled to a 3-1 win at Ibrox.

Not even a very generous penalty award from Steven McLean could cover the cracks with Tavpen levelling the scores early in the 51st minute.

Five minutes later Joao Carvalho restored the lead for Olympiakos with the same player scoring again after 70 minutes after substitute Ridvan Yilmaz was turned inside out.

Beale started the match with many of his superstar signings in place including Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers and Abdallah Sima who were all relegated last season.

When substitute Fashion Sakala is your most threatening forward you know that your team has problems.

The usual messengers will come out with the tried and tested pre-season lines but in two weeks time Beale has to have a team ready to face Genk or Servette in a Champions League Third Round qualifier.

None of the hyped up summer signings have made the slightest improvement on last season’s offering with even TikTok Todd looking miles off it against Newcastle and Olympiakos.

Former Chelsea defender Dujan Sterling hasn’t played in any of the pre-season friendlies while Ryan Jack was watching from the stand for the second match running.

Steven McLean is a disgrace as a referee. He doesn’t even try to hide his bias.

He should be nowhere near any sevco or Celtic games next season..

How long will this charade go on?

Will the media go to town and gleefully savage their honking defence like they did with ours

No champions league for that mob this season. The luck of the devil is about to hit the buffers

Perhaps the record that Andrew Dallas infamously set by awarding them 4 penalties in a single match will fall in the coming season. His father must have been so proud of his contribution to the “cause”.
