To borrow a phrase, the Daily Record is going off the radar in their bid to create a digital future with print sales on course to start 2024 at under 50,000 a day.

It seems that nothing is out of bounds as they chase clicks with Keith Jackson giving legs to the favoured fantasy that all of the problems at Ibrox are due to the dark arts of Neil Doncaster and Murdoch McLennan who are under the control of Peter Lawwell.

With all sorts of rules overturned since 2012 by Doncaster to accommodate the Ibrox Tribute Act they could hardly wish for a more friendly face as CEO of the SPFL.

Shay Logan is a regular source of clicks for the Record, if they can add in Scott Brown or race row so much the better with a surge in traffic as their credibility takes another plunge. Today they managed to stitch all three together.

The former Aberdeen defender attempted to play up some sort of rivalry with Celtic during a career that peaked at mediocre.

Since being freed from Pittodrie two years ago his career has been in free fall hence the reason for his childish gesture at a picture of Brown.

Logan’s tale is a lesson to all footballers, nothing is out of bounds for the Record as they attempt to reach out and connect with the digital savvy, smart-phone using bears.

At least the guy did the right thing, bless him.

Why do Celtc have anything do with the Daily Record, they should ban them from all Media conferences and Celtic supporters should not buy the rag , it should only be used for toilet paper.

    • Keith says:

Or better still charge them 28k a season like the harlem globetrotters across the city…

  • John Copeland says:

Celtic FC should ban and ignore the rag indefinitely. Then publicly ask the BBC in its twisted Glasgow headquarters , why it has this extremely partial preference for ex the Rangers players and associates in abundance for commentary and employment duties to the detriment of every other club in the country .Who makes this policy ? Which head honcho decides this perennial procedure is fair and acceptable using public money . They can’t deny it happens as the evidence to verify all of this is overwhelming ! Time to grow a pair Mr L!
