Stephen McGowan is predicting that Luis Palma won’t be the only new signing at Celtic this week.

On Thursday night it was the Daily Mail reporter that broke the news of interest in the ARIS Thessalonika winger with that deal appearing to be progressing.

Brendan Rodgers has been using his media conferences to highlight the need to sign first team starters but progress remains slow with McGowan unable to add any new names to the transfer jigsaw.

Discussing Celtic’s transfer issues In the Daily Mail last night he explained:

A slightly damning summation of the recruitment thus far, Honduran winger Luis Palma will arrive from Greek side Aris in a £3.5million deal. He’s unlikely to be the last.

Instead of watching Thursday’s Champions League draw with their feet up on a Lennoxtown table, Celtic’s senior management will spend the day on the phones instead. Trying desperately to bring in the players who can help them avoid a humiliating experience against Europe’s elite.

Aside from project signings Celtic’s transfer activity has consisted of signing Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke either side of selling Carl Starfelt to Celta Vigo.

With Jota and Aaron Mooy leaving while Cameron Carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate are out injured the Celtic side at Ibrox on Sunday will be experimental as they attempt to stay on top of the SPFL Premiership.

Back to this nonsense again, running about with their hair on fire on deadline day trying to get cheap deals.I feared these days would return with Ange gone and Pistol Pete back in the building.

Difficult to argue with that Eamonn…But I’ll cut them some slack on the CB situation…Although these injuries need investigating…been going on for too long.
And yes…Lawwell’s influence is all over this “panic ” situation…Not good enough.
