Barry Ferguson is expecting the Ibrox board to ‘find money from somewhere’ to fund Philippe Clement’s Revolution in January.

Two wins and a draw away to Sparta Prague has sent delusions spiralling towards pre-season levels when they only question being asked was whether Mister Beale would manage to complete The Treble without incurring a single defeat.

Kilmarnock, Celtic and Aberdeen destroyed that fantasy while PSV Eindhoven took Beale’s plans apart in an embarrassing 7-3 Champions League exit.

The day after losing to Aberdeen Beale was sacked, with the gap at the top of the SPFL Premiership table down to five points Ferguson is starting to get excited with The Treble back on for the Tribute Act.

Listening to the former Alloa boss on Go Radio last night, Football Scotland reports Ferguson saying:

The new manager coming in, I think they will try to find money from somewhere ad bring in maybe two or three that the manager likes.

It freshens the squad up as well. January is a tough window as generally the players you are going for haven’t played much football either but I am sure the Rangers board will try everything in their power to try and help the new manager.

Beale’s summer spending spree will almost certainly have emptied the Ibrox bank book.

Last season’s accounts are due to be published in the next couple of weeks with a profit of between £5-10m expected.

During the current season there will be no Champions League windfall or fees in the region of those raked in by Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey.

Selling Jack Butland is one option to bring in transfer funds but it more likely that a creative or imaginative policy will have to be launched.

    Another delusional opinion from Barry.

“Find the money from ‘somewhere” – Someone else’s money – It was the deceased (c.2012) Ranger’s way…

It’s The (11 years and 94 days old as of today) Sevco FC way as well –

I suffer it first hand in ma family…

I have a sister (47) with that very same ingrained sense of entitlement and have had for a long, long time –

Sugar (mummy in her case) get me this, buy me that, I want this, I want that…

If they put on Tommy Burns memorial granite stone “Andy Goram broke my heart” they should put on ma sister’s one “I don’t have any physical money” (Whatever The Fcuk physical money means) ?

I think ma poor old mother’s epitaph should be “My entitled daughter broke ma heart”

However I sincerely hope that she has a few miles in her yet and gets her telegram from The President of an independent Scotland in 18 years time) !

I doubt they could offer him a selection box, far less a war chest.
