David Dickinson couldn’t hide his joy as the ball hit the back of the Hearts net.

The Ayrshire referee has been rising through the ranks in recent seasons, delivering the required results is always rewarded by Crawford Allan.

Dickinson has a few rungs of the ladder still to climb but smiling at Philippe Clement’s goal celebration is bound to help the cause.

A semi-final appearance on the park or being fourth official at a Glasgow Derby will confirm that Dickinson is on his way to joining John Beaton, Nick Walsh, Steven McLean, Alan Muir and Don Robertson in knowing the special ways to apply the Laws of the Game.

The smile, the eye contact, the nod.

Scott Wright scoring the second goal of today’s semi-final against Hearts was the pivotal moment of the match.

Dickinson had suffered on the touchline with Clement through a difficult first half but a penalty from James Tavernier eased the nerves before Wright put the issue beyond Hearts.

Next weekend the circus travels to Livingston looking to extend the run without conceding an SPFL penalty to 67 matches.

Our club and others getting done stay silent

That’s the reason we’re seeing this , they don’t care any more , no need to hide it

Would you be surprised if this guy was involved as an official in our next game ?

Lol at all the BITCHING going on here meanwhile back at the ranch sorry Celtic Park everything is ticking over nicely with one of the old firm partners keeping things alive by not calling out cheating officials.

    • Dinger says:

I wonder how the media would handle it if Celtic went 66 league games without conceding a penalty

  • Charlie Green says:

This is corruption pure and simple.
The Celtic board have proved Nimmo’s statement that having greater finances does not give you a sporting advantage. He just forgot to say if the other team can cheat and the people in charge are not up to the job of running your club.

  • John A says:

Dermot Desmond is the croppy who lay down, thoroughly ashamed of a fellow irishman. Celtic plc will never stand up against corruption, in fact they will help cover it up, Lawwell even lied to do so.

when the fraud walsh gave the first yellow against Sevco , you knew he was going to even the score for his team either way , that little sh!t and his ilk must be removed from scottish football and replaced by neutral referees
