David Edgar tried to be balanced as he assessed another Glasgow Derby defeat for Heart & Hand.

It seems a lack of quality and refereeing decisions ‘genuinely bordering of criminal’ were to blame for today’s defeat that brought Philippe Clement’s unbeaten run to a halt.

Heart & Hand sponsor Nico Raskin and enjoy media privileges at Ibrox as the club reaches out to encourage their paranoid fan media outlets into the tent.

Edgar does admit that Clement has inherited a goalkeeper, Tavernier and little else, after a rant about refereeing decisions he closes with a wish that the Ibrox directors pony up the funds needed for the new boss to strengthen their team.

On target for losses around £20m unless they can reach the Europa League Final it will be a massive risk for the board to spend big next month after splashing out £14m and lucrative long term contracts on Danilo, Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers.

I mean, the refereeing today was genuinely bordering on criminal, it was so so bad. Three major incidents that went against Rangers, and one that went against Rangers and was correct.

Firstly, in the first half Alistair Johnston punches the ball out, its a penalty kick. VAR doesn’t award it and then we hear half an hour later after pretty unanimous condemnation of that decision, oh but there was an offside in the build up…

In the second half, Bernardo on a yellow card goes right through Connor Goldson, it’s a booking, doesn’t get booked for it, obviously VAR can’t check that.

And then Johnston, with his fourth foul after getting booked, raises his arm in a challenge he should be off, second yellow card.

Later on Leon Balogun miscontrols a pass, Maeda robs him, he’s in on goal, Balogun brings him down, it’s a red card, no complaints whatsoever.

The Ibrox club have already contacted their media partners to detail their complaints to the SFA including a demand for the release of audio for the Abdallah Sima offside incident.
