Almost two months after their last appearance The Green Brigade will be back filling section 111 and beyond for Saturday’s match against Livingston.

Various statements have been made by the Ultras Group and Celtic but tonight the North Curve announced their plans for Saturday’s match inside the ground.

It was been a long, painful and largely silent couple of months inside Celtic Park with 267 Season Tickets suspended.

The famous atmosphere has suffered a reputational pounding with pockets of St Mirren, Motherwell and Hibs fans out-singing the home support.

Attention will now be fully focussed on the team that has dropped eight points in their last five matches to open up the title race with an eerie then hostile atmosphere last week as the they lost 2-0 to Hearts- the first domestic home defeat since the end of Lockdown.

Is it just a coincidence that Celtic’s form dip turned up as the GB were turned away?

  • Bob (original) says:

    What a surprise – not!

Easiest decision our Board has ever made.

It was either relent with the GB,

or possibly face a stadium chanting against the Board

    …for the whole game?

Hope the GB bring a huge “Sack the Board!” banner on Saturday.

    🙂

So much for not needing the GB place is like a morgue half the clowns wanting rid off them dont even no the celtic song

  • Frank Duffy says:

If our last 4 games had all been wins, the board would have dug their heels in and maybe, just maybe, might have let the GB back for the huns game. But after the diets disgrace last weekend the board knew the home crowd numbers against Livi would be down. They can say every home game is a sellout, but ST holders know there are empty seats all around them. So the board know they can’t win this fight when the results aren’t happening. The board also realised they lost the fight last weekend when the fans, without the GB’s prompting, let them know exactly what we thought of the club management in their hands.

I think I will hold fire til I find out what the compromise looks like !

  • Dan cowie says:

Pretty sad that it needs a specific 267 out of 60,000 fans to create an atmosphere. What are the rest doing. If they light one flare or embarrass the club again they should be locked out immediately again

    Message to the Green Brigade.
Please become Ambassadors for the club, show everyone how great a support you can be.
We used to be applauded from foreign teams with our friendliness and respect.
Sing Celtic songs, please leave historic issues out of Celtic.
    We are Celtic.
    We are one.
    Hail Hail.

“And If You Know The History”?
Neglect the past and the future becomes less certain!
Drop the flares and the swearing and there’s nothing wrong with the rest!

  • T J Grant says:

Happy to see the Green Brigade back…but must put Celtic first above all other issues.
