Cameron Carter-Vickers is expected to be back in the Celtic defence for Wednesday’s match against Feyenoord.

It may be a dead rubber but with one point from five matches and £2.5m available to the winner taking three points from the Dutch champions would be a timely boost for the entire club.

Carter-Vickers was substituted at half-time against Hibs on Wednesday after feeling stiffness in a hamstring, on Friday it was reported that he had undergone an MRI scan to discover the extent of any damage.

Kilmarnock’s plastic pitch is never sympathetic to injuries, Carter-Vickers was missing from the Celtic line up today but should be quickly back in action.

Asked about the result of Carter-Vickers scan by Sky Sports, the Glasgow Times reports Rodgers saying:

To be fair, it was pretty clear but he has just felt a bit of stiffness around it so we don’t want to force it.

He has obviously played a lot of games since he has come back from injury. Nat can come in and do a great job for us and then hopefully Cam will be available in the midweek.

After the performance from Phillips today the calming influence of Carter-Vickers returning on Wednesday will be very welcome.

The on loan Liverpool defender has been selected ahead of Gus Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki despite both of those summer signings being fit and in full training.

Lol now the PANIC button is being pressed and even more fans are making more noise about dodgy penalties to sevco,to late that horse has bolted.

This is now the time more than ever to get the BOYCOTTING done SHARPISH NOW.

LIE still laughing all the way to bank as this keeps the league alive and opens the door to sevco to win the league and keep his old firm gravy train alive.

    KERCHING£.

Look what our best run club in the world in many areas is missing out in, millions of CL money.

Oh and when we are not in the CL in the near future because our coefficient has tanked and we miss out on mega millions, everyone of these chancers should pay with their jobs and the Celtic fans should make these chances aware that is will happen.

This is the fans club, these are custodians who are only interested in lining their own pockets. Wakey, wakey, Celtic fans.

Oh and watch out for those who want to put this on the manager. You reap what you sow and sometimes it takes a bit of time to realise your produce is rotten, only this time everyone knew what we planted in the summer was doomed.

When CQN tries to lay the blame at the manager’s door, ask yourself what geniuses are unemployed waiting to succeed with inexperienced projects. Apportion the blame in the wrong direction and we fall further, beware !

Phillips had a good first half. Apart from the og which was just one of those things he was just as good as the fckn rest in that second half. Especially down the left were the invisible man was defending.

Something is seriously wrong with BR and the squad.

As for the CL monies: let’s be realistic.

The odds are screaming that we aren’t winning against Feyenoord.

Would rather we rest CCV – and ensure he is available for the 30th.

That second half display was the most gutless performance I’ve seen in a long time.
The missed chances in the first half could have finished the game off but as usual, because we don’t have the quality, we were as wasteful as ever.
Whatever BR said at halftime couldn’t have been inspirational given the atrocious attitude of players in the second half.
Rocky & Lagerbielke must be really poor if Phillips is ahead of them – he is slow, flat-footed & a bombscare with the ball at his feet. Ralston is a better left back than Taylor who is dire in defence. Palma was lazy & seemed disinterested all game & no help to Taylor whatsoever on that left side.
No passmarks for any of them given the lack of fight in the second half.
