Nottingham Forest have shown Michael Nicholson how it is done by calling out Stuart Attwell on VAR as a fan of a rival club.
In England they have a system where match officials have to declare clubs that they support or associated with which allows the FA to keep them away from matches that involve or impact their club.
In Scotland that is a subject that is embargoed from discussion.
Forest warned the Professional Game Match Official Board (PGMOL) about their concerns over Attwell’s appointment but no changes were made.
After losing against Brentford yesterday Luton were one point behind Nottingham Forest ahead of their match at Everton today.
With Attwell on VAR the 1979 European Cup winners had three strong penalty claims dismissed, lost 2-0 at Everton and remain just a point above Luton with both clubs having four matches left to play.
Are Nottingham Forrest really suggesting that VAR operators might not be impartial when they are emotionally involved in a game?
Thankfully Scottish referees & VAR operators are genetically different to ones in England. Our refs & VAR operators always impartial. https://t.co/etYDkVTIUE

Yesterday at Hampden Greg Aitken was on VAR, his Facebook page highlights an image cracking jokes with Ally McCoist.
John Beaton regularly drinks in the Crown Bar in Bellshill, he has been involved as VAR or referee in the last two matches that Celtic have dropped points in.
Nick Walsh works Monday to Friday on the fitness and education of Murray Park starlets.
Steven McLean’s brother started his football career as a Rangers youth team player.
When Nicholson was questioned about decisions taken in a match refereed by Beaton the Celtic CEO reverted to his little seen stand-up comedian role.

Dundee V Celtic.. 1947…
Facing Relegation (3) disallowed goals.
The bloody irony of it all…
Forest aren’t too thick and dense to call it out –
Meanwhile our branch see and do nothing…
Celtic folks need to be swaying about renewing !
