BBC Scotland have turned to Radio 2000’s Game On, Montevideo Portal and Florian Pettenberg for their lead stories on their Gossip page.
All three stories are linking 20-year-old’s with moves to Ibrox where they will be given the Jefte treatment and transformed into Real Madrid targets.
It is unlikely that those three sources have ever been used before but serving up an upbeat diet of stories to loyal bears seems to be the purpose of the BBC website.
The pictured story is of Theo Bair with three English Championship plus St Pauli interested in the Motherwell striker. That story plays second fiddle to all of the feel-good items about Phil Clement’s project targets.

Later on the BBC does get round to the usual Celtic round up covering goalkeepers and Paulo Bernardo.
Funded by the TV licence Kenny Macintyre, Tom English, Steven Thompson and their pundit pals like Neil McCann, Kenny Miller and Billy Dodds are preparing for a jolly to Germany where they will be sharing their expert opinion and analysis.

They probably had to use a picture of Bair (which is probably a bigger story anyway and is at least more likely to be true), because they don’t actually have any pics of these unknown kids. Despite them being superstars in waiting that are heading for Real Madrid, after a brief pitstop at the Asbestos Arena, where they will be honed into true galacticos by playing alongside, training with and learning from global superstars like TikTok Todd, Rabbi Matondo, Soapy Souttar, Scott Wright, Sam Lammers, TavPen and Goldson.
I guess at least they will be able to learn how to do interpretive dance videos, make self-pitying memes, dive, feign injury, occupy a treatment table and key English language phrases like “disappointed”, “we’re coming back stronger next season” and “come on ref, shouldn’t we have had that penalty by now?”
Can you imagine the tone and content of the headlines if it was us doing this? I imagine it would be the usual tired, well worn tropes about biscuit tin mentality, no ambition, being behind them in our planning and recruitment, etc., alongside stuff about the manager not being involved, being frustrated, wanting away, etc.
Very well put over indeed there BriBhoy !!!
