ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - NOVEMBER 27: Celtic head of football operations Paul Tisdale during a UEFA Europa League 2025/26 League Phase MD5 match between Feyenoord and Celtic at De Kuip, on November 27, 2025, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. (Photo by Craig Williamson/SNS Group via Getty Images)
Two of Celtic’s summer signings have moved on today. Both heavily linked with Paul Tisdale.
After staring one SPFL match, back in August at home to Livingston, Hayato Inamura has left to join FC Tokyo on loan.
Following him out the door is Jahmai Simpson-Pusey who is moving on loan to FC Koln. The on loan Manchester City defender also leaves with one SPFL appearance to his name, against Kilmarnock in October.
THE TISDALE DEALS?
Much debate will surround the issues of the summer transfer window but it seems fair to suggest that Brendan Rodgers wasn’t a fan of either player.
Alongside Shin Yamada and Callum Osmand there was no place in Celtic’s Europa League squad for Inamura or Simpson-Pusey.
Under Martin O’Neill and Wilfried Nancy there was little encouragement given to either of the departing duo.
Tisdale, Head of Football Operations has acted quickly with two summer signings already moved on.
Hayato Inamura has joined FC Tokyo on loan until the end of the season.
Good luck, Hayato!#CelticFC? https://t.co/wCqqRn7sJU pic.twitter.com/piT2jCSsn0

Later on Fabrizio Romano tweeted:
Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, completing medical at FC Köln today after loan deal agreed from Manchester City. He’s in Germany to sign the contract after Celtic loan deal terminated. Buy option clause: Man City value him at £10m, Koln offer around £5m. #MCFC to have buy back clause.
Since the problems of the summer there has been an expectation of rapid business by Celtic once the January transfer window opened.
During the 21/22 season Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi were announced as signings on December 31.
ALL QUIET ON ARRIVALS
There has been no repeat of that level of transfer activity this season. Going into the Glasgow Derby only Julian Aruajo was added to the squad. With no competitive action since August it will take Araujo time to achieve match fitness.
During his pre and post match media conferences for the Glasgow Derby there was barely a question put to Nancy about transfer activity in either direction.
Nancy and the players were given Sunday and Monday off with almost all of the post match discussion around the future of Celtic’s French manager.
Meanwhile, after having a holiday during December it seems that all transfer activity is in the hands of Tisdale.

Punts getting moved on to make way for more punts to come in .
Every signing whilst Tisdale & Nancy are here are doomed
do the turds at the top think that these results and this manager are acceptable, if so then nancy is here to stay, if not then why has he not been sacked. tisdale is the worst recruit celtic have ever made nancy is a close second. now celtic linked with a striker from israeli clu b that no celtic fan has ever heard of, why? because he is cheap, just the kind of player this boardroom loves ( cheap unheard of and probably not good enough a tisdale kind of player) please sign decent players an get rid of nancy.
Joe, what is yours, and that of the Collective’s opinion on the site being promoted by Phil MacGiollabhain https://celticsupporters.net/ who are seeking to collate all untraced shareholders and together with members, create a block vote of shareholders. These shareholders will be asked to grant their proxy vote to Celtic Supporters Limited (instead of the chairman of Celtic – I never knew that my voting shares were automatically given to Lawwell) to vote at general meetings of shareholders of Celtic plc.
Editor: A good purpose. It is right to highlight and protest against Nicholson and chums, in tandem an operation is being set up to reclaim and own a very large percentage of dormant shares.
And the people who hired them
You should check out ACSOM for PJs interview with David Low, a very compelling case put forward to support this organisation.
I was just having a look at it. It certainly sounds a lot better than the current situation.
My main worry is that DD sells to a venture capitalist like the Glazers of Man United, transfers all debts to the club and gets the support to pay it all back. With interest and forever. At the same time all financial visibility disappears along with any possible avenue for the fans to do anything. Goodnight Vienna.
We become the East End equivalent of the Ibrox franchise with our base somewhere in Delaware.
Yeah ! More crap coming in as usual as Tisdale works his nonsense.Tisdale and Nancy should be sacked, two of the most inept individuals involved at Celtic F.C in a long time.
Nancy is doing what Liz Truss did to our country.
Sack him now. The great name of CELTIC has been demeaned by Nancy, the Board and Tisdale
HH
Sunday and Monday off after 45 mins of football on Saturday? If that’s true,he must be getting sacked. If the players and manager are being kept apart with so much wrong,it makes no sense. I’m expecting an announcement tomorrow by lunchtime.
Now for the board!!!…
We are witnessing the parts of the 5 Way Agreement that Lawwell is glad to be away from after agreeing to it.
“Not to dominate Scottish football but allow others, especially Rangers and the The Old Firm to be able to compete as a way of making Scottish football attractive.”
The inverted commas, I presume Nick, are your addition to your own comment.
There’s nothing remotely like that in the 5 WA. The point of the 5 WA was purely to have some ibrox team allowed to enter Scottish fitba regardless of having NO right to do so.
It was ultimately done in a rush as Sevco Scotland Limited had been drawn to play Brechin on Sunday 29th July 2012. The email with the 5 WA attached was sent out on Thursday 26th July around 9.00 PM with part of it saying if no dissention by 10.00 AM on Friday 27th July then it was ‘good to go’. Just absorb that! An email sent out at 9.00 PM on Thursday night was considered agreed to if no backword by 10.00 AM on Friday morning. It was clearly agreed in advance. IMHO it’s illegal and even Doncaster openly admitted previously that “there is no mechanism for what we’re trying to do here.”
And Lawwell would have been up to his neck in it from day 1 as it’s inconceivable that Celtic’s CEO would not know about something this crucial in the minds of Scottish fitba’s operators. If indeed it’s fraud, as I strongly suspect, then it’s not time barred so it’s not over. Oh, and Bye Bye Nancy and Tisdale, you both got our supporters animated enough to clear Lawwell out of CP so you have my very reluctant thanks for that alone.
The first out the door should be Tisdale himself. His recommendations have been so poor and I don’t see that changing this window either.
TITSdale should start with himself, then WILLIE NANCY AND NICOLSON
Celtic clear out Paul Tisdale – And not before time !
