Michel Ange Balikwisha has been dumped from Celtic’s Europa League squad.

With five January signings to choose from Martin O’Neill has put Julian Araujo, Tomas Cvancara and Junior Adamu on the UEFA list.
The Celtic boss reluctantly gave that information at today’s media conference.
Strangely, no-one asked who had been left out to accommodate the new arrivals.
UEFA have just published the Celtic squad which confirms that Balikwisha, Johnny Kenny and Callum Osmand have dropped out.
With Kenny out on loan at Bolton his omission was obvious. Osmond has made three substitute appearances and isn’t expected to return from injury until April. His exit isn’t much of a surprise.
Balikwisha made four substitute appearances in the group phase but has been dropped to accommodate one of the new signings.
The former Antwerp man has struggled to make matchday squads recently.
His only playing time was in the Scottish Cup tie against Auchinleck Talbot when a shadow side was selected.
With a contract running until 2030 Celtic will struggle to move on a player that cost them £5m as recently as last August.
I have seen nothing from him to make me understand why we chased him for two seasons.

Balikwisha can play, but not sure his style suits Celtic or Scottish fitba. He doesn’t cough up posession cheaply. Tonoutki on the other hand is a lazy luxury who surrenders possession constantly and couldn’t tackle a bag of chips. Yang and Forrest are better than both, while Jota is in a different league to all of them.

Balikwisha has looked absolutely awful since minute one and hasn’t even looked capable of offering anything whatsoever, and I predict he will barely feature till he’s moved on, that’s my opinion and just as valued as yours, and I can say that without the derogatory remarks.
It’s a pity Celtic cannot recruit players as quickly as those being dumped ? The rats in Ibroxland Stadium appear quicker than guys coming in !
