GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - MARCH 01: Rangers' Jack Butland looks dejected as Celtic's Reo Hatate celebrates after scoring to make it 2-2 during a William Hill Premiership match between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox Stadium, on March 01, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland. It took five minutes from the ball striking Dujon Sterling’s arm for it to reach the back of the net, via Reo Hatate of Celtic.
It was an anxious wait but worth it. All’s well that ends well and all that.
Thankfully one bear decided to capture the closing scenes, quickly they went viral.
The raw emotion of a late equaliser in the most hostile of territory is almost impossible to describe.
Unless you’ve experienced it you’ll never know.
For 2,000 Celtic fans it was the sweetest of moment.
Forced into Ibrox by 10am it had been a long stay, between 12 noon and 1pm things looked especially bleak.
CELTIC JOY SPREADS MISERY AROUND IBROX
The players looked dead and buried. All around them right-wing racists celebrated all sorts of hatred that would never be tolerated in a civilised country.
UEFA won’t put up with it. The SFA, Sky Sports, the SPFL and TNT Sports not only encourage it they market it and profit from the anthems of hate.
Those fans were five minutes away from an epic celebration. A massive step closer to the SPFL title. Party time in the Crown Bar Bellshill.
And then, one of their own was forced into a pitchside VAR Review. He waited, watched, replayed it time after time then swallowed deep and accepted the inevitable.

Celtic fans went through one million emotions in the wait. Two saves from Super Jack Butland added to the tension. And then it was all out there.
Utter despair and dejection for 48,000 fans. Ecstasy and delight for 2,000- and they let the world know it.
A feeling of utter liberation swept through the Celtic fans as they erupted in joy against the silence all around them.
On the park Julian Araujo ran towards the Broomloan corner, Butland lay flat out with his post match media interviews binned.
And this Sunday the noisy Celts will be back. With an additional 6,000 tickets to ensure that Callum McGregor and the visiting players get the backing that they deserve.

I thought the keeper was meant to stand on the line at a penalty you can clearly see he was not.
That actually gives him a significant advantage, being able to see what way the kick is going whilst still having forward motion, forward motion that if he was on his line would make it a retake for certain.
Has he found a loophole or does he have to stand on the line?
Explains why he has saved 8 out of his last 9 pens.
Good point if it’s legal or not what Butland does Bhoy4life…
I wonder if Joe can look into this or any other poster…
Cos as sure as night follows day The Scummy Scottish Football Media certainly won’t !
It was too early for the Sevco disappointed to celebrate Super Jack Butland’s Palm Sunday.
Don’t ask big Dujon Sterling to walk or stand on a straight line ….not with his track record of drinking under the influence ? ” I had one glass of wine occifer …from 10 different bottles ..’at’s all ! ” Hhhiiccuuppp….
