Motherwell threw a massive spanner into the SPFL title race with a 3-2 win at Ibrox.
Danny Rohl’s side were expected to go into top place with a simple victory to pile the pressure of Hearts and Celtic.
It didn’t turn out that way.
Emmanuel Longelo scored twice with his second coming in the 90th minute just as the home fans were expecting a winner of their own.
It was no more than Motherwell deserved after outplaying their hosts throughout an outstanding first half.
Lukas Fadinger opened the scoring in the 16th minute following a brilliant move down the left ended with a low shot under Super Jack Butland.
Motherwell’s quick passing was cutting the home side open with ease, Rohl’s side were lost trying to stop their visitors.
In the 25th minute Motherwell went 2-0 in front when Longelo arrived at the back post following a sweeping move down the right.
Falkirk held a 2-0 lead against Scotland’s newest club a fortnight ago before collapsing to a 6-2 defeat.

Motherwell held their lead until half-time but Youssuf Chermiti pulled a goal back in the 51st minute following a slip by Paul McGinn.
Chermito scored again in the 70th minute. At that point the stage was set for a late winner from James Tavernier with the outgoing skipper on as a half time substitute.
MOTHERWELL REFUSE TO CAVE IN AS THEY EMPTY IBROX
Motherwell held their ground then broke down the left in the 90th minute.
Captain Disappointed was nowhere to be seen as Stephen O’Donnell slipped the ball to Longelo.
The winger cut inside then sent a shot into the centre of the net as Butland and Manny Fernandez blamed each other.
Kevin Clancy signalled for seven minutes of stoppage time. In the 100th minute he blew his whistle on a near deserted Ibrox.
Shame faced Rohl led a lap of honour as his players were showered with abuse.
One corner of Ibrox celebrated loudly having been on the end of several ridiculous refereeing decisions in recent weeks.
If Celtic win at Hibs on Sunday Rohl’s side will kick off at Tynecastle five points behind the hoops.

Their centre half who’s been getting the £20m / Arsenal treatment for the last fortnight scoring the winner for the well
Jeez….theRangers could have done with wee Mo Salah today against Motherwell ? That’s what the narrative has been this week from the Sun and Record rags ? Salah to theRangers ….jobs a good yin ..money no problem !
If Hearts win next week. The Huns are out of the title race before they even come to Celtic Park.
