Michael Nicholson’s position at Celtic is now in the utterly ridiculous category.
Now we are talking about a CEO afraid to put his name to the biggest income source- selling Season Tickets.
Today fans can go to the club website and hand over on average £700 for an adult ticket to 19 SPFL Premiership matches.
You don’t need to be a trained accountant or former Clydeport employee to work out that that comes in at almost £37 a match. To watch the leftovers of a once strong squad that Nicholson has been dismantling since January 2025. A process established over three transfer windows.
NICHOLSON- THE COST OF MUTE MICK
It takes the sale of 24 full priced Season Tickets to pay Nicholson’s weekly wage.
What exactly does Nicholson do? He couldn’t even muster a few bland comments to pay tribute to the departing Tom Allison. A Non-Event Director for 25 years, with similar achievements to Nicholson on his CV.
As Season Ticket Renewals go, today was incredibly low key. Celtic muster far more enthusiasm for their annual Christmas advert.
There was no sign of a club employee adding their presence to the campaign.
No manager outlining his exciting plans. No CEO outlining his plans for growing the business to create more success on the pitch.
Not a single star player. Not a legend from the past.
Just a statement that could have been botched together from previous campaigns. Accompanied by a bland video that could have been made by a first year Media Studies student.
Nicholson hasn’t been seen or heard since December 14.
It was his second Celtic TV interview inside a fortnight. Both sharing his delight and enthusiasm for the appointment of the worst manager in Celtic’s history.
Having waited over four years to speak to Celtic TV Nicholson’s choice of subject says everything about his judgement.
Meantime Brian Wilson seems to be providing an update every six weeks confirming his contempt for those anti-establishment fans.
