Eighty per cent of Celtic Season Ticket holders turned their back on today’s 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough.
Last month Chairman Brian Wilson was quick to claim that 99.5% of Season Ticket holders had renewed for more of the same.
That figure seems almost impossible to achieve. Today it looked like less than 10,000 of those Season Ticket holders paid out to watch the double winners.
Offered a shadow squad to watch a shadow crowd attended with adult Season Ticket holders being charged £20 for the kickabout.
In the sunshine of the North Stand five sections in front of Club Celtic were open. Plenty of green seats were visible to viewers on the Celtic Player.
It was a similar story in the South Stand where only the central sections were open, and far from full.
Saving the day around 4,000 Middlesbrough fans made the journey, droning on throughout most of the game.
Just off the back of an extraordinary league and cup double, when we should be riding high, joyous and imperious…but this Board have managed to suck all the life and joy out of it and burned it all to ashes.

Two weeks before the SPFL opener the Celtic team-sheet was an obvious source of concern.
THE HOLLOW SOUNDS OF CELTIC PARK
Liam Scales at left-back and Sean McArdle on the right wing were two obvious square pegs in round holes.
Dane Murray, often the fifth choice centre back last season, started the match alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers.
There was no sign of a change of shape or the ‘little tweaks’ that Martin O’Neill has been looking to introduce in pre-season training.
James Forrest on the left wing was Celtic’s best performer in the first half. Camilo Duran looked the part with an instinctive equaliser in the 32nd minute from a Luke McCowan pass.

Substitutions and a water break disrupted the second half.
Reo Hatate and Callum Osmand provided Celtic with some energy and variety. In the 66th minute Osmand shot against the right hand post then while grounded headed the rebound against the other post.
Beyond that there was little of note. It is doubtful if O’Neill learned anything from the 90 minutes.
CELTIC: Sinisalo, Donovan, Carter-Vickers, Murray, Scales, McGregor, McCowan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, McArdle, Duran, Forrest.
Subs: Doohan, Gill, Balikwisha, Osmand, Engels, Bernardo, Ure, Montgomery, Hatton, Hatate, Turley, Haney, Kennedy

Unfortunately they all renewed their season tickets, and for as long as they do the board are in clover, all their inflated wages paid. They don’t care about other income, small potatoes to them, which they’ll make up by destroying the team further. You can boycott all you want, they don’t care if they have season ticket money banked.
No Pain No Gain!.
Boycott all games till the Irish man leaves and sells his shares he only bought shares in celtic to make money when he thought we where going to get invited to English Premier league then sell like London city airport the man is no good not got the celtic heart ??
Whilst it’s in no way a criticism of Jamesy,
the very fact that he started a pre-season game
just sums up how messed up our club is currently,
with regards to squad management.
There is no rational reason why the club is operating in this confusing manner.
It can’t be pure spite – still – from DD, or for some other emotional reason…?
Any Celtic supporter who attended that game yesterday is complicit in what is happening at our club, they’re willing to accept mediocrity, incompetence and neglect which the majority of our support won’t.
Unfortunately I don’t think we’re anywhere the bottom of the barrel I think there’s a long way to go yet and Desmond is a spiteful bastard of a man and I believe it’s all deliberate, every single bit of it.
A blind man can see Silent Mike is way out of his depth yet he’s stealing £17,000 pw out of the club when he says he can’t deal with agents! This is a vital part of his remit so he’s admitting he’s not up to the job yet still he’s stealing a wage you just couldn’t make it up.
Martin speaking on Iheanacho and Saraachi deals falling through said there’s two sides to every story but there’s three sides there’s the players side, Celtic’s side and the truth and I don’t believe the club’s side.
Looking at the minutes from the AICSC meet and greet there’s something in there that not many Celtic outlets have picked up on and that’s when Nicholson was asked about a business plan or five year strategy or whatever you want to call it that Martin butted in and said that he had read it, now at best he’s being disingenuous and at worst he’s a downright liar, I’ll let you make up your own mind what he is, but I thought that deserved more scrutiny and I thought you were the man to dig into that James.
The supporters have given a message loud and clear yesterday that we won’t tolerate deliberate sabotage although apart from staying away I don’t know what else we can do as they’ve already got our season ticket money.
That second last paragraph was meant to say your name Joe I don’t know how James came up sorry about that mate.
