Camilo Duran trained with Celtic today at their Portuguese training camp.
At 6pm tonight the club was still keeping quiet about their first permanent signing of 2026.
One Celtic fan in the Algarve popped along to the hotel that the team are using and managed to get a picture with the new signing.
Duran is the first Colombian that Celtic have signed.
He is the first striker signed since the sale of Kyogo Furuhashi in January 2025.
Some might claim that Shin Yamada disqualifies that claim but three Celtic managers in five months dismissed the club signing made last summer.
There are certain technicalities involved in signing players but Celtic could easily have announced that Duran had been signed subject to international clearance.
Instead word emerges across social media about the arrival.

On Tuesday Martin O’Neill was confident enough to mention Duran by name. Saying that the striker was undergoing a medical and could join the squad in Portugal.
DURAN READY TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING AS A CELTIC PLAYER
Day 1 of training and we have a striker in the house.
A work permit may be required but Celtic were confident enough to get Duran kitted out and getting familiar with his new team-mates.
A year ago he was based in the Algarve, playing Second Division football for Portimonense.
At the end of the summer transfer window a £200,000 fee took him to Qarabag who had just qualified for the Champions League.
Five goals later he is a £5m striker, back in Portugal training with his new club.
Celtic will no doubt be arranging some social media content to announce their new signing.
Duran looks like he is good to go with a debut likely on Tuesday when Celtic take on Sporting Lisbon.
With Qarabag playing in a Europa League qualifier today the fitness of the new bhoy should be ahead of his new team-mates.
The last player to be transferred to Celtic on a permanent basis was Sebastian Tounekti on 1 September 2025.
