Michael Nicholson was posted missing last night as Celtic played their first match of the new season.
There is always the remote possibility that he was involved in urgent transfer business but even the lads at Celtic Quick News are starting to have their doubts about the Celtic CEO.
Dermot Desmond and Brian Wilson were both pictured at Tolka Park last night as an over-stretched squad laboured to a 1-1 draw with Shelbourne.
On Saturday Nicholson was in his choreographed glory as he made a secret swoop to the AGM of the AICSC. He was in the company of Wilson and Martin O’Neill.
The Committee of the AICSC were given short notice about their VIP visitors.
What was discussed remains a closely guarded secret but it is believed that the Committee men were complimented on being true Celtic fans.
About all that has emerged from Saturday’s secret meeting was a very unconvincing picture of those involved.
Dressed down in casual gear Nicholson was the very definition of someone pretending to be feel relaxed and comfortable while wishing that they were back in the office and hiding from incoming phone calls.

With Unity Wilson so keen on fan engagement he missed out on a perfect opportunity in Dublin on Tuesday.
A few thousand Celtic fans were inside Tolka Park to watch a 1-1 draw which offered no signs of encouragement.
A few of the younger players looked OK or decent but nothing that suggested that they were about to join Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor in the first team squad.
NICHOLSON GOES MISSING AS HE AVOIDS CELTIC SUPPORTERS
There was nothing to stop Wilson and Nicholson from spending an hour before or after meeting Celtic supporters to share their exciting plans for the season ahead.
Dublin hosts plenty of halls and function rooms for Wilson and Nicholson to share their visionary plans.
They chose not to.
It seems that Saturday’s token visit to the secret meeting of the AICSC in Cork has ticked the fan engagement box for the next few months.
In April Wilson revealed that the club was about to appoint a Fan Engagement Officer. The Fan Forum was about to become a roadshow.
So far the club has yet to name their Fan Engagement Officer. There has been no sign of the post being advertised.
The last Fan Forum was held at Celtic Park in May 2025.
NOTE: Chief Financial Officer Chris McKay is believed to be on holiday but will join the party in the Algarve this week.
So are you going to release rhe transcript or the Q & A?
Every @CelticFC deserves to know what our absentee landlord board & shareholders are up to… apart from the obvious managed decline of our squad and infrastructure…
