While the flags and flutes are out for the Derek McInnes Revolution it seems that there is an exodus of coaches out of Ibrox.
Alan Archibald and Paul Sheerin joined McInnes in the journey from Tynecastle but quietly others have been bailing out.
Caio Pontes joined the Tribute Act in the summer of 2023, working his way up to first team analysis. He won’t be around next season, opting to join Salt Lake City.
IBROX COACHES BAILING OUT
That follows on quickly from goalkeeping coach Sal Bibbo quitting for Coventry City. Allan McGregor is expected to replace Bibbo despite having no coaching qualifications.
Yesterday it also emerged that set-piece specialist Scott Fry was off to join Birmingham City.
Danny Rohl was hailed as a revolutionary for appointing Fry from Lincoln City. Despite losing a coaching specialist Lincoln went on to win promotion to the Championship.
Fry’s ace tactic was firing corners to Manny Fernandez. The goals quickly flowed until opponents got wise to the ‘tactic’.
Fernandez scored three goals between December 15 and January 6. Then two in the remainder of the season.
Rangers First-Team Analyst Caio Pontes has left the club to take up a role at St Louis City SC.
Pontes will be the MLS club’s Assistant Video Analyst.
He is the third backroom departure over the last few days, following Sal Bibbo and Scott Fry out the door.

McInnes has moved quickly to strengthen the Ibrox defence. With James Tavernier and Nasser Djiga both leaving numbers were on the low side.
Young Ross McCrorie has returned with Ben Godfrey coming in on loan from Atalanta. Goalkeeper Ivor Pandur will join up when Croatia exit the World Cup, Jack Butland is moving in the opposite direction to Hull City.
The next moves are likely to be dependent on selling players. It could be a long wait to get a £30m bid for Fernandez, Nicky Raskin or Youssef Chermiti.
Returning to the club after failed loan spells are Danilo, Ross McCausland and Jose Cifuentes. Danilo has two years left to drain of the lucrative deal he signed in 2023 after leaving Feyenoord in a £6m deal.
After opening their SPFL campaign away to Dundee United McInnes takes his side into a Europa League Third Round qualifier.
Failure at that stage would result in dropping into the Conference League Play Off to ensure European football.
Had Danny Rohl won the SPFL Premiership he’d have guaranteed a place in the Champions League group stage.
Rangers fans on Monday
– “Ross Grant never turned down Rangers for Celtic cos we’ve got the amazing Scott Fry, best in the business”
Scott Fry leaves on Tuesday
-“He was pish anyway only worked for a few games”.
Infinite banter?

That’s embarrassing to write and put that part in the article above about had sevco won the league they would have gone straight into the group stages.
They have won 1 league title 14,meaning we have won the other 13,but we are playing qualifiers to get to the group stages, that doesn’t look good.
For all the things we say about then being shite abd winning JACKSHIT they seem to have a better rating for European football, this especially as well after being told they are the worst team to ever reach and play in the group stages of the Champions League.
So we ain’t as good as we think we are when sevco can just walk in to the group stages this season had they not bottled it after the split.
I still think McInnes will find spaces to bring Ferguson,Dodds and McCann in to make it proper staunch.
Staunch? Stench surely?
