Anthony Joseph has explained why Celtic transfer deals all seem to require to go through London.
Not so long ago dedicated fans would keep an eye out for arrivals at Glasgow Airport. Often accompanied by reporters or photographers to capture the ‘jetting in’ moment.
Another favoured tactic for transfer sleuths was to have a look out at Ross Hall hospital.
Located on the south side of Glasgow and handy for the Airport a visit to Ross Hall was once part of the transfer ritual.
All of that seems to have been lost recently with Kasper Hogh a typical recent example.
His flight from the north of Norway was reported late on Sunday morning.
LONDON CALLING FOR CELTIC SIGNINGS
His flight path passed Glasgow and Edinburgh, also Manchester as it landed at Biggin Hill Airport. Sky Sports News were on the scene with a camera crew.
Celtic – and many EPL clubs – have done this for a while. More airports in London means more slots, especially for private jets. Trust clinics with spaces available. Slightly more privacy. And also easy access to an embassy if any more paperwork is urgently needed for the player.

Biggin Hill is a little known airport but specialises in business travel. Providing a quicker route to central London, which is just 14 miles away.
With no commercial flights football clubs can book in their private flight at almost anytime knowing that their signing target can quickly be booked in to a hotel or hospital anywhere in London.
The good news for Celtic fans is that early on Monday evening it was announced from Denmark that Hogh’s medical was successful.
With the Norwegian season in full flow Hogh should be ahead of his new Celtic team-mates in fitness terms.
Celtic fans weren’t happy that their opening SPFL was switched back to Monday, the last of Matchday 1.
That switch will allow Hogh and Duran two extra days together in training.
Confirmation of the Dane as a Celt is expected at some stage on Tuesday.
After the SPFL flag is unfurled all eyes will be on the two new signings leading the attack as season 26/27 gets underway.
Last one I remember coming directly into Glasgow was AJ who arrived off the red eye from Toronto on a Sunday morning and done his medical the following day at Ross Hall.
